Sandbox numbers

Send to any of these numbers to trigger sandbox mode: These numbers also work with OTP verification for predictable, free testing. Sandbox responses include "mode": "sandbox" and "cost_ugx": 0.

Test API keys

You can also use a sandbox test key (sk_test_...). Generate one with "mode": "test" through POST /auth/api-keys or the dashboard. Requests made with a sandbox key return "mode": "sandbox".
GET /auth/verify may report "mode": "test" for a test key. Message responses and webhooks always use "mode": "sandbox".

Bulk sends

In a bulk request, the response mode is live, sandbox, or mixed depending on the recipients.
Use the sandbox in CI and staging so automated tests never send real messages or spend balance.
